2021 KTM 390 Adventure

Gone are the days when adventure bikes were reserved only for long-haul expeditions. The 2021 KTM 390 Adventure brings true rally-inspired versatility into everyday riding, combining lightweight agility, modern technology, and genuine off-road capability in a compact, approachable package.

Powered by a proven 373 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, the 390 Adventure delivers approximately 44 horsepower and 27 lb-ft of torque. The power delivery is smooth and manageable, with enough punch for highway speeds while remaining friendly and controllable in low-speed technical riding or urban commuting. Its 6-speed transmission and fuel-injected setup make it efficient and responsive across a wide range of conditions.

Built around a lightweight trellis frame, the 390 Adventure is engineered for balance and durability. Long-travel suspension with WP components provides about 170 mm of travel, giving it the confidence to handle gravel roads, trails, and rough pavement without feeling unsettled. Spoked wheels and a 19-inch front setup enhance stability and off-road capability compared to typical street-oriented machines.

Technology is a major highlight, with standard features including switchable ABS with off-road mode, traction control, and a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity for navigation and ride data. These systems help bridge the gap between beginner-friendly control and real-world adventure readiness.

Comfort is designed for long days in the saddle, with an upright riding position, narrow bodywork for easy standing control, and a seat height of around 855 mm (33.7 inches) that balances clearance with accessibility. A windscreen and ergonomic layout help reduce fatigue on extended rides.

With its lightweight chassis, modern electronics, and capable suspension, the 2021 KTM 390 Adventure delivers serious versatility in a small-displacement platform—built for riders who want to explore beyond the pavement without stepping into a heavy or intimidating adventure bike.
